Tungsten Heavy Metal Tube

Tungsten heavy metal has the highest melting point (3410°C or 6170°F) of all metals.  The extremely high melting point of pure tungsten makes all the common manufacturing techniques used for metals such as iron impractical. Specialized methods make possible the processing of pure tungsten into rod, sheet, and wire for a wide variety of high temperature applications including incandescent lamp wire, TIG welding electrodes, high temperature heat shielding, etc.

Tungsten heavy metal is the raw material of tungsten heavy metal tube. Due to the strength and chemical resistance of tungsten heavy metal, tungsten heavy metal tube has much higher durability than tubes made of other materials. It mainly used for high temperature furnace components, crucible, missile rockets nozzle, etc.

Tungsten heavy metal tubes and tungsten heavy metal pipes are manufactured on high accuracy equipment from certified blanks. Vacuum heat treatment facilities are used. The production quality is controlled at all stages. Tungsten heavy metal tubes are often produced in size from 0.15 to 35 mm diameter, wall thickness from 0.05 mm to 10 mm. Tungsten heavy metal tube is widely used in the thermocouple protection tube, sapphire crystal furnace and high temperature furnace, etc.

Tungsten heavy metal tubes resist many corrosive environments, including those in the concentrated solutions of alkalis and acids - hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric. Tungsten heavy metal tubes have excellent mechanical properties: hardness, wear resistance under strong heating and the lowest thermal expansion coefficient. Tungsten has high tensile modulus and compression, a very high resistance to thermal creep, good thermal conductivity. Due to the material strength, stress and chemical resistance, the durability of these tubes is much higher than that of other metals.
